As a college student moving into a non-furnished house, this knife was perfect. It came sharp, the grip works great whether my hands were wet or even 'slimey' from working with chicken, and the nice medium size works well for all of my housemates whose cooking skills range from mac & cheese to full dinners. The price didn't hurt either.
